Compared with electron-beam welding in a vacuum, laser welding offers clear advantages: no generation of X-rays, no need for a vacuum chamber, and no limitations on the workpiece size. Laser welding can serve as a finishing process, producing clean and visually appealing welds. In many cases, the weld strength can match that of the base material. Laser welding supports spot welding, continuous seam welding, stitch welding, sealed welding, and more — all with a high aspect ratio, narrow weld width, small heat-affected zone, and minimal deformation.
